Mac1 and Design@CIT are helping to get design students into industry
The Faculty of Design at the Canberra Institute of Technology (Design@CIT) and Mac1, have a solution for the ‘work experience blues’. State-of-the-art Mac computers will be on loan to employers who take on Design@CIT students for work experience.
Ken Hogg, Group General Manager, Mac1, wants to '…build on the strong links between CIT and industry…to help develop the designers of the future…and support industry to assist CIT in developing work placements'.
The deal comes into effect immediately and will assist all Design@CIT students with their work placement modules. Approximately 95 students from Graphic Design, Interior, Fashion and Building Design, Photography, and Digital Media will benefit from the new Mac1 scheme.
